Peixe em Lisboa


Next Saturday and until April 18th it will happen the festival Peixe em Lisboa at the Pavilhão de Portugal in Parque das Nações. This is the biggest gastronomic festival in Lisbon and during 9 days you can experience the delicacies of 14 of the most famous restaurants in Lisbon, as Ramiro, Tasca da Esquina or Panorama. At the show cooking you can watch the chef preparing a meal, or can choose one of the many different tasting options, from wines to deserts. There is also an area reserved for children where the monitors will have a special program adapted to them, and that allows you to go around the event with no worries. The Lisbon Restaurant Week started today, and until March 6 you can try some of the best, exclusive and expensive restaurants for 20 Euro – and the best is that 1 Euro revert to charity! Try one of the 44 restaurants that have joined this project, where you can find some very famous names on the list as Gemelli, Olivier Café, Eleven or Casa da Comida. Olivier: Venice Carnival or Valentine's Day. Make your choice!



In a week full of festivities the restaurant Olivier at Rua do Alecrim, decided to celebrate the 2 special occasions. On Sunday, despite being the customary closing day, they will serve the degustation for couples in love. The price per person with a flute of champagne and dessert included will be 60 euro per person. On the following day, a masquerade will take place with the Venice Carnival as a theme and the menu of the restaurant will operate as usual. The party is schedule to continue at Silk Club.

Torres Vedras Carnival - Party day and night



There are many carnival traditions in Portugal, most of them away from the city. One of the most famous cities that celebrate this occasion is Torres Vedras, where during 5 days (and nights) people dress up and celebrate on the streets.

The real party only starts on February 11, but you can already feel the excitement as the date approaches, since yesterday was inaugurated the Carnival 2010 monument.

If you like to party day and night, don’t’ be shy: Dress up your favourite costume and visit them for a “surrounding Lisbon’s experience”.

Pavillhão Atlantico 2010
